We, SKARLET & CO VIETNAM (“Skarlet & Co” or the “Firm”), is aware of an increasing number of fraudulent schemes in which malicious actors impersonate law firms, including their names, brands, lawyers or employees, for deceptive purposes. Such fraudulent activities continue to evolve and are becoming increasingly sophisticated.
These schemes are commonly intended to obtain recipients’ personal, confidential or financial information; induce recipients to transfer funds, make payments or settle fictitious debts; or otherwise deceive recipients into entering into transactions or taking actions against their interests. In many cases, fraudsters may use emails, legal memoranda, engagement letters, contracts, confirmation letters or other documents bearing the name, logo or other identifying information of Skarlet & Co in an attempt to create the appearance of legitimacy and mislead recipients.
If you receive any email, telephone call, text message or other communication purporting to originate from Skarlet & Co that appears unusual, unsolicited or otherwise raises concerns as to its authenticity, we strongly encourage you to exercise caution and verify its legitimacy before responding or taking any action.
All official email communications from Skarlet & Co are sent exclusively from the @skarlet.com.vn (or any other official domain expressly designated by the Firm). We do not use variations or imitations of our official domain names. If you are uncertain whether a communication is genuine, please contact the lawyer responsible for your matter or your usual contact at Skarlet & Co, or reach us through the official contact channels published on our website before replying or acting upon such communication. Skarlet & Co does not conduct professional communications with clients through free email services such as Gmail, Yahoo or Hotmail, except where expressly notified in specific circumstances. Likewise, the Firm does not request clients to transfer funds or make payments through messaging applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, Zalo, Viber or similar platforms. Any request for payment will be made solely in accordance with the relevant legal service agreement, fee note, invoice or payment request duly issued by the Firm through its official communication channels.
To help protect yourself against fraud, we recommend that you:
- Do not click on hyperlinks or open attachments contained in suspicious emails or messages.
- Do not disclose personal information, banking details, passwords or one-time passwords (OTPs) to any individual or organization whose identity has not been independently verified.
- Do not make any payment unless you have confirmed the authenticity of the payment request through the Firm’s official communication channels.
- Delete any suspicious or fraudulent communications and promptly notify Skarlet & Co if you become aware of any unauthorized use of the Firm’s name, brand or identity.
While Skarlet & Co employs appropriate measures to safeguard its information systems and protect its brand, we are unable to prevent fraudulent communications that originate from systems, networks or platforms outside the Firm’s control. Where appropriate, we will cooperate with the relevant competent authorities in investigating and addressing any unauthorized use of the Firm’s name, brand or identity in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
If you believe that you have been, or may have been, the victim of fraud or impersonation, we recommend that you immediately contact your bank (where any financial transaction is involved), report the matter to the police or other competent authorities, and notify Skarlet & Co so that we may provide appropriate assistance where possible.

The Firm shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from any transaction entered into, or information disclosed, by any person in reliance upon communications from individuals or organizations falsely purporting to represent Skarlet & Co without prior verification through the Firm’s official contact channels.
